THE Coaching Experience

A STARTING POINT

Your time is valuable, and coaching is a shared commitment to your growth. From the start, we decide what matters most for you to work on so each session stays focused and useful.

INSIGHTFUL

Coaching helps turn thinking into action. Together we look at what’s happening, question what may be holding you back, and identify ways to approach situations in your work.

PERSONALIZED

Each session focuses on the questions or situations you want to work through. Our work reflects your experiences, priorities, and how your work is developing over time.

“Angela possesses a unique ability to ask the right questions that encourage deep introspection. Through our conversations, I gained clarity about the values that truly drive me, and this newfound self-awareness became the cornerstone of my future career goals. Angela made me feel seen and heard by tailoring our sessions to my specific needs and challenges, offering personalized strategies to use in my long-term planning.”

FAQs

  • Coaching gives you space to think through your work and what matters most in it. It helps you step back from day-to-day pressures and talk through important decisions, situations, or challenges.

Through conversation and reflection, coaching helps you see your strengths, notice patterns in your work and leadership life, and consider possibilities you may not have thought about.

For many people, coaching becomes a steady place to talk things through, build confidence, and approach their work with greater awareness and intention.

  • Confidentiality is a core part of the coaching relationship. What you share in sessions remains private and respected.

As an ICF-certified coach, I follow the International Coaching Federation Code of Ethics, which includes clear guidelines around confidentiality and professional conduct.

This creates a safe space for open and honest conversations.

  • Coaching works best when you arrive ready to talk openly about what’s on your mind and to take an active role in the conversation.

I encourage clients to reflect between sessions and to try ideas or exercises that come out of our conversations. Coaching is most useful when you are willing to participate actively, share honestly, and stay curious about your own experiences.

Coaching is also about fit. It’s important that you feel comfortable with the person you’re working with. Early conversations give us both an opportunity to see whether working together feels right.

Your feedback is always welcome. If something isn’t working for you, we talk about it and adjust the process together. We’ll also agree on the pace of sessions and how you want to work together so the experience supports you.

  • Coaching works best when the relationship between coach and client feels comfortable and productive. The initial conversation is a chance to talk about what you’d like to explore, ask questions about the process, and see how the conversation feels.

A good fit usually means you feel able to speak openly, reflect on your experiences, and actively participate between sessions. If it feels like the right match, we can agree on how often to meet and how we’d like to work together.

  • Yes. Many coaching relationships take place virtually, allowing us to work together regardless of location.

If you are local and prefer meeting in person, we can arrange that when schedules allow. This flexibility makes it easy for us to work together wherever you are.

  • Sometimes we use tools or assessments that help you see your strengths and how you tend to approach work and/or leadership.

These tools help start conversations about your experiences, patterns, and goals. They support the coaching conversation rather than replacing it.

The real value comes from how we talk about what the tools reveal and how those insights relate to your vision.

  • The first step is an introductory conversation, which is about 30-45 minutes. This gives us a chance to talk about where you are right now, what you would like to explore, and how coaching may help. Please send an email to angela@angelamacmastercoaching.ca to book directly with Angela.

It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and decide whether working together feels right.

If it does, we agree on how we want to work together and begin in a timeframe that is suitable for you. Angela will send you a proposal outling the process along with options for pricing.

  • Angela is also available to speak at events, panels, and professional gatherings on topics related to leadership, career transitions, and workplace development.

If you are planning an event and would like to explore a speaking engagement, please reach out through the contact page.
